South Cole NA

History

Boise currently has 34 established neighborhood associations. The goal for these associations is to work with their communities to create vibrant and thriving neighborhoods that increase the livability for their residents.

The South Cole Neighborhood Association covers a large area in Boise and Ada County, south of Interstate 84 to Columbia Rd (south of Lake Hazel Rd); then from Maple Grove Rd to Pleasant Valley Road.

The Association was formed in 2017 when CBH Homes proposed a massive housing project at South Cole and Lake Hazel Road, called Syringa (now Locale). Citizens were concerned about the added traffic on Cole Rd and general access to the open lands of south Ada County.
